Our Story

Hello and Welcome to Vintage Valor Wear.

I’m glad you found our site and I hope you peruse some of the items. I really enjoyed designing them.

It’s time to tell you a little bit about me. I BELIEVE the purpose would be to put
some credence into the designs and where they come from.

I am a former U.S Army Reserve 1st LT, Infantry and Airborne qualified.

I became an EMT-B in 1988 and immediately went to work for a professional ambulance service. Back then it was normal to work 60,70,80 hours a week and we all used to work for multiple services.

In ’89 I went and got my EMT-IV from Mt. Sinai Hospital in Hartford, CT. I then took the required pre-reqs for Paramedic School and attended at St. Francis Hospital, also in Hartford’90/’91.

After completion, I applied for and was picked up by my first Private Military Contracting firm. I went to Saudi Arabia as an advisor to the Saudi MODA(Ministry of Defense and Aviation). I worked in refugee camps on the Iraqi border with The Kingdom bringing burn and trauma patient’s to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

After about a year, I left Saudi And headed back to The States where I worked for a Private Ambulance Service for about 3 more years doing Paramedic Intercepts. In the late ’90’s I left that service and went Hospital Based Intercept. I worked out of an ER and covered a 17 town area and roughly 150,000 people as the sole ALS responding unit.

While there, I continued my training, Critical Care Paramedic, FARMEDIC, Tactical Paramedic with H&K, CONTOMS, Wilderness paramedic and High Angle rescue with SOLO in New Hampshire also. I helped start the first SWAT Team in a small New England City and we started training and doing work together. I attended everything I could, Tactical Explosive Entry School, Blackwater Tac Handgun, SIG Arms, Kni-Com, Knife Combat. All while working alone still on the streets doing 60 hours on average.

In 1999 I wrote the first book published on Tactical Medicine and Law Enforcement. During this time I did a quick stint in Afghanistan at the US Embassy as paramedic for the Guard Force during the WhIPS changeover. I left that position at the hospital in 2008 and started traveling. MPRI was my company initially, I was attached to the Rwandan’s, the Ugandan’s, the Burkinabe in Burkina Faso.

I spent the next 10 years traveling and working in Africa as primary instructor for medical and secondary for small arms, IMT, and small unit tactics. I wrote the Battlefield Medicine classes for several US Dept. of State Programs.
My info was basically adopted by at least 12 African Union countries. Between deployments I continued to train and advise, multiple government agencies and several International agencies also.

In 2015 I went to Ukraine on the Seperatist side of the Contact Line and was the Chief Paramedic in Luhansk for a deployment. I traveled to the Vatican three times at their request to teach Tactical Medicine Classes several times between deployments. I finally left US DOS and went to work for several agencies in Africa. I worked as a Medical Rescue Specialist extracting VIP’s that needed advanced care from third world or conflict areas. I ended those adventures in 2020 and headed home for good. I wrote my second book, “The Pope’s Paramedic” in 2020.

Now, I’m at the point where I just walk with my dogs, hang out with my girlfriend, and play with my grandkids. Each day I’m thankful. I’m thankful I was allowed to do what I did and survive. The REASON I started this company is to honor “us”. I think you’re all great. . . all of you. The Cops, EMS, and Fire.

I’m thankful for you all.
